Judicial Bodies
     

The judicial bodies of Concacaf are:

  • the Disciplinary Committee;
  • the Ethics Committee;
  • the Appeals Committee.

The judicial bodies are to be composed in such a way that the members, together, have the knowledge, abilities and specialist experience that are necessary for the due completion of their tasks. The chairmen and deputy chairmen of the judicial bodies shall be qualified to practice law. The term of office of the chairmen, deputy chairmen and the members of the judicial bodies shall be two (2) years and may be re-appointed.

The members of the judicial bodies may not belong to any other body or committee of Concacaf at the same time.

The responsibilities and function of the judicial bodies shall be stipulated in the Concacaf Statutes, the Concacaf Disciplinary Code and the Concacaf Code of Ethics.

 

Disciplinary Committee

The responsibilities and functions of the Disciplinary Committee shall be governed by the Concacaf Disciplinary Code. The Disciplinary Committee shall consist of a chairman, a deputy chairman and the number of members deemed necessary by the Concacaf Council for the Disciplinary Committee to function properly.

The Disciplinary Committee may pronounce the sanctions described in the Concacaf Statutes, the Concacaf Disciplinary Code and all other Concacaf Regulations, as well as the FIFA Disciplinary Code. The Disciplinary Committee may subsidiarily apply the FIFA Disciplinary Code.

 

Ethics Committee

The responsibilities and functions of the Ethics Committee shall be governed by the Concacaf Code of Ethics. The Ethics Committee is divided into an investigatory chamber and an adjudicatory chamber. The composition of each of the chambers shall be established in the Concacaf Code of Ethics.

The Ethics Committee may pronounce the sanctions described in the Concacaf Statutes, the Concacaf Code of Ethics, the Concacaf Disciplinary Code and all other Concacaf Regulations, as well as the FIFA Disciplinary Code.

 

Appeals Committee

The responsibilities and functions of the Appeals Committee shall be governed by the Concacaf Disciplinary Code. The Appeals Committee shall consist of a chairman, a deputy chairman and the number of members deemed necessary by the Concacaf Council for the Appeals Committee to function properly.

The Appeals Committee is responsible for hearing appeals against decisions from the Disciplinary Committee and the Ethics Committee that are not declared final by the relevant Regulations.

The Appeals Committee may subsidiarily apply the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
