Concacaf serves as the governing body of football in this part of the world. POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing support to the HR department across a variety of functions, including employee records management, recruitment and onboarding, HR reporting, benefits administration, and compliance with Concacaf policies and employment legislation. This role plays a key part in delivering a positive employee experience and ensuring the effective operation of HR processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support the entire employee lifecycle, from hiring through retiring.
- Coordinate and execute elements of the recruitment and hiring process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, administration of pre-employment assessments, background checks, and data entry of new hire information into HR systems.
- Coordination of onboarding agendas for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization.
- Support relocation logistics and immigration procedures for new and transferring employees.
- Assist with the annual open enrollment process and general benefits administration.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, policies, and general HR topics via phone, email, or in person.
- Serve as an advocate for employees, helping foster strong workplace relationships and promoting Concacaf’s ethical standards and culture.
- Generate and maintain HR reports for internal use (e.g., demographics, absenteeism, overtime, turnover) and for submission to external agencies (e.g., government, insurers, auditors).
- Draft HR-related correspondence and documentation, including offer letters and policy communications.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, internal HR policies, and best practices.
- Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and company-wide events.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, supply ordering, and general clerical tasks.
- Contribute to the successful execution of additional HR programs and initiatives as needed.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar HR support or analyst role.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and familiarity with payroll processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bilingual fluency in English and either Spanish or French is required; Dutch is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity in managing confidential information.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities, with an understanding of when to escalate issues.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required (approximately 3%).
Due to the cyclical nature of the sports and entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules including game nights to reflect the business needs of the company.
