POSITION PURPOSE:
The Broadcast Supervisor supports the planning and coordination of broadcast and production services for Concacaf tournaments, under the guidance and direction of the Director of Broadcast and Media Strategy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in coordinating and supervising the execution of broadcast and production services for Concacaf tournaments, including match and non-match programs, infotainment, and digital content.
- Responsible for live production/non-live content planning for all Concacaf competitions.
- Lead the production truck or control room.
- Support the service of existing rights holders to ensure fulfillment of contractual broadcast requirements.
- Assist in maintaining and updating systems for logging, storing, and archiving digital and video assets; identify and report potential areas for monetization or process improvement.
- Liaise with external vendors to coordinate services and staffing needs for assigned productions.
- Supervise outsourced facilities and freelance staff on-site, ensuring standards and requirements are met.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A) in Broadcasting, Media Production, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- +3 years of experience supporting or coordinating the production of soccer matches or tournaments for broadcast. Experience with Concacaf events is a plus.
- Technical background with sports production trucks, fly packs and field broadcast equipment in general.
- Familiarity with satellite coordination, including booking, confirmations, and assisting with downlink quality control for live feeds.
- Working knowledge of digital streaming workflows and basic platform delivery processes.
- General knowledge of media archiving and infotainment systems (including venue-based displays and content delivery).
- Experience assisting internal production teams and coordinating with external production vendors or facilities.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to function easily with ad-hoc teams assembled for specific productions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ideal candidate is bilingual (English/French or Spanish)
- Acute and constant attention to detail and dedication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to supporting high-quality production standards.
- Candidate must have the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally for the performance of his/her duties. Approximately travel requirement: 50 - 60%
Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules including game nights to reflect the business needs of the company.
