Monterrey are five-time Concacaf Champions Cup champions, having lifted the trophy in 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13, 2019 and 2021.
Monterrey are back in the Champions Cup for a 12th time, with their first participation coming in 1975. They will begin in Round One. Monterrey have emerged as champions in five of their previous six appearances. The only year in which Rayados failed to win the Champions Cup as a participating club in that span was 2016-17 when they did not advance from the group stage, meaning Monterrey have not lost a single knockout round series in their last five Champions Cups.
Monterrey qualified as one of the next two best clubs in the 2022-23 Liga MX aggregate table and will start in Round One.
