It is Forge’s second appearance in the Champions Cup.
Forge FC have qualified for the 2024 Champions Cup as the champions of the 2023 Canadian Premier League. They will start the competition in Round One. Forge FC became the first CPL team to qualify for the Champions Cup when they competed in the 2022 edition.
In the 2022 Champions Cup, Forge faced Mexican giants and six-time Concacaf champions Cruz Azul, falling 4-1 on aggregate in the Round of 16. David Choiniere scored Forge’s first ever Champions Cup goal in the 26th minute of his team’s 3-1 defeat in the second leg.
