Robinhood, Club Sando keep rolling in Caribbean Club Shield

MIAMI, Florida – The action continued in the 2023 Concacaf Caribbean Club Shield in Saint Kitts and Nevis on Sunday with another four games across Group C and Group D.

AS Etoile Matoury of French Guiana made it two wins in two games in Group C by rallying from an early 1-0 deficit to top O&M FC of the Dominican Republic, 2-1, at Warner Park.

Daniel Jamesley scored in the 20’ to give O&M the lead, but Etoile Matoury equalized in the 23’ through Calvin Soga and then won it on a goal from Cerezo Haabo in the 80’.

Robinhood also have six points after two games in Group C after posting a 5-0 victory against B1 FC of Saint Lucia at Warner Park.

Shaquille Cairo once again proved a handful, scoring a pair of goals in the 35’ and 45’ and was joined on the scoresheet by Roche Rosebel in the 21’, Tuur Don in the 74’ and Carlos Da Silva in the 86’.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Club Sando flexed their scoring muscles in a 9-0 triumph over SWA Sharks of Turks and Caicos Islands in Group D at the SKNFA Technical Centre.

Both Nicholas Dillon (17’, 19’, 41’) and Real Gill (45+2’, 64’, 90’) notched hat tricks, while Jabari Forbes (34’), Ezekiel Kesar (47’) and Luke Phillip (55’) added scores.

The night was rounded out by SV Dakota of Aruba and Solidarite Scolaire of Guadeloupe in Group C at the SKNFC Technical Centre, with Dakota capturing a 1-0 win.

The lone goal came in the 61’ courtesy of Ricky Marte, who got behind the Solidarite Scolaire defense and fired a shot that deflected off the fingertips of opposing GK Calvados Marvyn and into net for the decisive goal.
