Grant, Brown secure new win for Portmore United 

The Jamaican side now sits in third place of Group B

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Group B action of the 2026 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continued on Thursday, with Portmore United getting a 2-nil win against hosts Cavalier FC at National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Portmore United took the lead in the 14’ when Rashaun Small sent a cross into the box, allowing Jevaughn Grant to put the ball past the Cavalier FC goalkeeper.

The hosts had four shots on targets before the half time whistle, unable to find an equalizer that put them back on the game.

Javier Brown doubled Portmore United’s lead in the last minutes of the match, in the 88’, with a right foot shot from the right side of the box.

Cavalier FC will take the field again on September 17th when they face Mount Pleasant at National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.
