Goalless draw between Club Sando and Delfines in Group A 

Club Sando secured a spot in the 2026 Caribbean Cup Semifinals.

PORT OF SPAIN – The Group Stage of the 2026 Caribbean Cup continued on Tuesday with Group A action, Club Sando FC and Delfines del Este sharing points after a goalless draw at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.

With this result, Club Sando secured the first Semifinals ticket of the 2026 Caribbean Cup after getting seven points with an overall record of 3W-1D-0L. Delfines del Este are out of the competition after a 0W-2D-1L record in three games.

Diego Losada almost opened the goal count for Delfines in the 17’, clinching a header from a corner kick, the ball going wide, the game still goalless at halftime.

Josiah Cooper was ready in the box to send a right foot shot through Delfines’ defense in the 63, the Dominican side blocking the ball.

Club Sando never stopped going up, almost breaking Delfine’s deadlock in the 86’ with a shot by Keron Cornwall in the box, goalkeeper Pedro Espinal denying the hosts’ chances until the very end.

Club Sando FC will take the pitch again on away duties when they face Violette AC on Tuesday September 15th at Estadio Cibao in Santiago De Los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.
