Violette AC clinches spot in the 2026 Caribbean Cup Semifinals

The Haiti side is the second team to secure their ticket to the next round.

PARAMARIBO, Suriname – The Group Stage of the Concacaf 2026 Caribbean Cup continued with Group A action on Wednesday with Violette AC getting a 2-1 win against SV Broki at Dr. Ir. Franklin Essed Stadion in Paramaribo, Suriname.

With this result, Violette AC clinched a spot in this year's Semifinals, being the second team to confirm their place in the next round of the tournament.

After a goalless first half, Violette AC broke SV Broki’s deadlock in the 59’ thanks to Miche-Naider Chéry, who was ready in the box to intercept a ball from the hosts’ defensive line, sending it to the back of the net with a right foot shot.

The hosts doubled their lead in the last minutes of the match, in the 90+3’, thanks to Maxime Jeanty, who sealed their Semifinals ticket with a left foot shot in the box.

SV Broki managed to pull one back in aggregate time, in the 90’+5, with a Shaquille Stein’s right foot shot in the area.

Violette AC will play their last Group Stage match on September 15th against Club Sando FC at Estadio Cibao in Santiago De Los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. SV Broki played their last match in their inaugural Concacaf Caribbean Cup campaign.
