UMECIT FC seeks its first points of the tournament, while Club Olimpia looks to build on its opening victory.

MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continues with UMECIT FC hosting Club Olimpia in Group C on Wednesday at Estadio Universidad Latina in Penonomé, Panama.

UMECIT FC is looking to bounce back after falling to Deportivo Saprissa 2-1 in its tournament debut. Only one of the six Panamanian teams to compete in the tournament has lost its first two Central American Cup matches (Tauro FC).

Club Olimpia is coming off a 2-0 home win over Deportivo Mixco, in which it recorded 14 total shots in a strong offensive showing.

The Honduran club is unbeaten in its last five away matches in the Central American Cup (3W-2D-0L), after losing its first away match in the competition, a 1-0 defeat to Real Estelí in 2023.

Jorge Benguché, the tournament’s all-time leading scorer, found the back of the net in the opening victory to bring his tally to 13 goals. To date, he is the only player to have scored in all four editions of the competition.
