Real Estelí begins its 2026 campaign against Antigua GFC, with both clubs seeking their first points in Group B.

MIAMI – Real Estelí FC Will make its 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup debut against Antigua GFC in Group B action at Estadio Pensativo in Antigua, Guatemala.

This marks the fourth edition of the competition Real Estelí has competed in. The Nicaraguan club reached the Final in both 2023 and 2024 and has played 24 total matches in the competition, a record among Nicaraguan clubs.

Real Estelí will look to end a nine-match away losing streak in the Central American Cup.

Antigua GFC enters its second Group B match seeking its first points after a 2-1 defeat to Alianza FC on Matchday 1. Óscar Castellanos scored the club’s lone goal.

  • Antigua recorded the lowest proportion of long passes (32 meters or more) on Matchday 1, with just nine percent of its passes meeting that distance.
  • Antigua’s Kevin López was one of three players to complete more than one line-breaking pass that ended in a teammate’s shot (excluding assists), recording two. The others were Alajuelense’s Celso Borges (three) and Mixco’s Fabián Cuero (two).
  • Real Estelí attempted more than 10 shots in each of its four matches in the 2025 Central American Cup, averaging 15.3 shots per match.
