MANAGUA, Nicaragua - The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continues with Diriangén FC taking on CD Plaza Amador in Group A on Tuesday at Estadio Nacional de Nicaragua in Managua, Nicaragua.

The meeting presents the first-ever official encounter between the sides.

Diriangén enters its fourth overall and third consecutive appearance after booking a spot by winning Nicaragua’s Torneo Apertura 2025 title. Los Caciques will be aiming to advance beyond the Group Stage for the first time.

Diriangén are second among Nicaraguan clubs in all-time Central American Cup matches played with 12 and hold a 3-4-5 record.

Plaza Amador will make its second appearance in the tournament after an impressive debut season in 2025. Los Leones qualified by winning Panama's Torneo Apertura 2025.

The Panamanian club made an immediate impact in its first Central American Cup appearance, finishing atop Group A with a perfect 4-0-0 record and 12 points. Prior to falling to Real España in the Quarterfinals, Plaza Amador handed eventual champions LD Alajuelense their first defeat in tournament history.

• Diriangén will make their fourth appearance in the Concacaf Central American Cup, becoming one of only two Nicaraguan clubs alongside Real Estelí, to feature in every edition of the tournament.
• Plaza Amador return for their second Concacaf Central American Cup campaign after an impressive debut in 2025. Los Leones enter Tuesday's clash looking to snap a three-match losing streak, having opened their tournament history with five consecutive victories, including a perfect four-win run through the Group Stage.
• Diriangén have proven difficult to beat at home in the Concacaf Central American Cup, avoiding defeat in four of their six home matches (W2 D2). However, they are still searching for their first home clean sheet, having conceded seven goals across those fixtures.
• This will be just the second time a Panamanian club has traveled to Nicaragua for a Concacaf Central American Cup match. The only previous occasion came in 2023, when Real Estelí edged CA Independiente 1-0.
• Éric Davis remains one of Plaza Amador's key attacking threats. The veteran fullback finished the 2025 edition tied for the club lead in assists alongside Everardo Rose, who has since departed, while also leading the team with 21 chances created.
