CSD Municipal secures victory at Verdes FC

CSD Municipal defeats Verdes FC on the road for first win in 2026 Central American Cup.

BELMOPÁN, Belize – The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continued on Thursday with CSD Municipal earning a 1-0 win over Verdes FC in Group D at FFB Stadium in Belmopán, Belize.

Alejandro Cabeza netted the sole goal of the match for Municipal to claim the three points, bringing the ball down inside the box and firing into the bottom-left corner of the net.

Municipal goalkeeper Braulio Linares had a standout performance in goal as he recorded his first clean sheet of the campaign.

Verdes FC will continue its Central American Cup campaign against CD Fas on Wednesday. CSF Municipal will visit CD Fas on Matchday 4 in its next encounter on August 19.
