Club Xelajú seeks first points against Diriangén FC
Club Xelajú looks to build on its strong Central American Cup home record as Diriangén FC visits in Group A.
GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala - The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continues on Tuesday with Club Xelajú hosting Diriangén FC in Group A at Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Club Xelajú is looking for its first points of this year’s edition of the tournament. The Guatemalan club has enjoyed success as hosts, avoiding defeat in six of its seven home matches in Central American Cup history.
Diriangén FC will seek to end a three-game winless run on the road. The club’s last win as a visitor in this competition came in 2024 when it defeated Tauro FC 2-1.
The Nicaraguan club opened this year’s edition of the tournament with a 4-2 victory over Plaza Amador but has since lost two consecutive matches.
