Motagua set to host CD FAS in Group D

Motagua looks to build on its winning start in the Group Stage, while FAS is set to open its 2026 Central American Cup campaign.

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras - The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continues with FC Motagua hosting CD FAS in Group D on Thursday at Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

The encounter will mark the first official match between the two clubs.

Motagua will be playing its second Group Stage match after opening with a 5-0 win over Verdes FC in Belize. A brace by Jonathan Moya, as well as goals from Luis Vega, Denis Meléndez, and Jordan García secured the result for the Honduran club.

CD FAS will kick off its second Central American Cup campaign. Los Tigres were eliminated in the Group Stage during the inaugural 2023 edition and will be looking to earn their first points in the competition, losing all four of their previous matches.
