Both teams looking to keep their tally going to take a new crucial win

MIAMI – The 2026 Central American Cup continues on Thursday with L.A. Firpo hosting Club Olimpia in the Quarterfinals at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador.

L.A. Firpo finished in second place of Group A with a 2W-1D-1L record, while Club Olimpia enjoyed a perfect Group Stage run to win Group C.

The Honduran club scored nine combined goals while only conceding three. Jorge Benguché was a crucial part of that success, as he scored three goals to become one of only two players in tournament history to score in each four editions of the Central American Cup.

Club Olimpia conceded the third-most shots (70) and also attempted the third-most shots (69) during the Group Stage.

Among the quarterfinalists, Club Olimpia has accumulated more 9+ pass sequences than any other side (53) while L.A. Firpo has been involved in the most direct attacks (12).

The Salvadoran club had two of the six players with the most touches in the opposition box during the Group Stage, as Styven Vásquez and Diego Ortez both recorded 21.
