FC Motagua secures win over CD FAS in Group D

FC Motagua earned its second consecutive victory to remain perfect in the Central American Cup.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras – The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continued on Thursday with FC Motagua earning a 1-0 victory over CD FAS in Group D at Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

The lone goal was scored in the 62’ when Jorge Serrano sailed a cross over the defense and Rodrigo de Olivera finished it off with a header.

CD FAS pushed for an equalizer, but FC Motagua was able to deny the visitors and secure the three points.

FC Motagua will continue its Central American Cup campaign against CS Cartaginés on Wednesday. CD FAS will face Verdes FC later that same day.
