MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup Quarterfinals delivered many standout performances as clubs competed for a place in the Semifinals.

Here are the 11 players that stood out in their respective positions:

Goalkeeper

Edrick Menjívar, Club Olimpia - Edrick Menjívar stood out in goal as CD Olimpia secured a 6-nil aggregate victory against L.A. Firpo. He featured the full 90 minutes in both legs, posting clean sheets in both matches and contributing a total six saves.

Defenders

Kevin Güity, Club Olimpia – The defender was a threat down the right flank in the 178 minutes he featured in the series. Güity recorded a goal, three shots on target, and 10 crosses, while at the defensive end tallying one tackle and one interception.

Luis Vega, CD Motagua – Luis Vega led a sturdy back line for Motagua as the Honduran club knocked out Alianza FC without conceding goals. Vega played 180 minutes of the series and was key at the back with seven interceptions and one tackle, while also being precise in ball distribution and totaling 110 passes.

Ronald Matarrita, LD Alajuelense – One of the key players against CD Marathón, Matarrita completed the 180 minutes of the series at left back. He was active on both ends of the field, contributing eight tackles and three interceptions at the back, and in attack recording eight crosses and a pivotal goal in the second leg.

Midfielders

Jefryn Macías, CD Motagua - Jefryn Macías scored one of the series-clinching goals in the 3-nil victory for Motagua in the First Leg against Alianza. He was overall an active presence down the wing, recording one shot on target, six crosses, and two tackles.

Jorge Álvarez, Club Olimpia - Álvarez scored the first goal of the series in the 3-nil victory against Firpo, provided an assist, recorded five tackles and two interceptions, finished tied for first place as the player with the most passes in the round with a total 135 successful passes.

Alejandro Reyes, CD Motagua – Alejandro Reyes was instrumental with one of the goals in the series-clinching First Leg win against Alianza. Overall, the midfielder contributed on both defensive and attacking duties for Motagua, playing the full 90 minutes in both legs and registering one shot on target, three crosses, three tackles, and two interceptions.

Edwin Rodríguez, Club Olimpia – Rodríguez scored twice in the 3-nil victory to clinch the series in the Second Leg, also contributed an assist, two shots on target, 19 crosses, a tackle, and an interception.

Yairo Moreno, CD Marathón – The winger was electric in 161 minutes played over both legs against Alajuelense, tallying a goal, an assist, seven crosses, and six tackles.

Forwards

Alonso Hernández, CS Cartaginés – Alonso Hernández was in fine form in attack for Los Brumosos, playing provider and recording an assist, while in all contributing with three crosses, four tackles, and one interception in 178 minutes played.

José González, CS Cartaginés – González was clinical in front of goal in 172 minutes on the field the series against Saprissa, the Mexican forward finding the back of the net in both legs to help CS Cartaginés seal a historic Semifinals berth.
