Club Olimpia cruises past L.A. Firpo in Quarterfinals First Leg

The Honduran club takes a 3-nil advantage back home for Second Leg.

SAN SALVADOR – The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continued on Thursday with Club Olimpia earning a 3-nil win over L.A. Firpo in the First Leg of their Quarterfinals series at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador.

After a scoreless first half, Club Olimpia found the breakthrough moment in the 52’ as Jorge Álvarez’s free kick from outside the box bounced past the L.A. Firpo keeper.

Just moments later, in the 53’, the Honduran club doubled their lead as Yustin Arboleda chipped a ball up in the middle of the box and headed it into the net from close range.

Nicolás Dibble put a stamp on Club Olimpia’s win in the 85’ when he unloaded a low right-footed blast from distance.

The Quarterfinals Second Leg between these teams is set to be played next Thursday, September 17 at Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
