2026 Concacaf Central American Cup Team Profiles: Group C
Previewing the five teams in Group C ahead of the 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup.
MIAMI – As the 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup approaches, it's time to take a closer look at the 20 clubs that secured their place in the region's annual club competition.
Group C features Club Olimpia, Deportivo Saprissa, Deportivo Mixco, Alianza FC, and UMECIT FC.
Club Olimpia
Club Olimpia returns for its fourth consecutive appearance in the Central American Cup after qualifying as one of Honduras' representatives.
The Honduran giants are one of only two clubs from the country to have competed in every edition of the tournament. Olimpia owns a 9-5-2 all-time record in the competition, the fewest defeats among Honduran clubs, and reached the Semifinals in 2025 for its best finish to date.
Deportivo Saprissa
Deportivo Saprissa will make its fourth consecutive appearance in the Central American Cup after qualifying as the best team in the overall standings during Costa Rica's Primera División 2025-26 season.
Los Morados enter the tournament with a 10-6-4 all-time record, tied with CS Herediano for the most victories by a Costa Rican club in the competition. Saprissa reached the Quarterfinals in both 2023 and 2024 and will aim to advance even further in this year's edition.
Deportivo Mixco
Deportivo Mixco will make its Central American Cup debut after qualifying as the top team in the overall standings during Guatemala's 2025-26 Primera División season.
The Guatemalan club becomes the sixth team from the country to compete in the tournament. Founded 62 years ago, Mixco is also the youngest Guatemalan club to qualify for the Central American Cup.
Alianza FC
Alianza FC will make its Central American Cup debut after qualifying as the top team in the overall standings during the 2025-26 Liga Panameña de Fútbol season.
The Panamanian side becomes the seventh club from the country to compete in the tournament, giving Panama the most different club representatives in Central American Cup history.
UMECIT FC
UMECIT FC will also make its Central American Cup debut after qualifying as the second-best team in the overall standings during the 2025-26 Liga Panameña de Fútbol season.
The Panamanian side becomes the eighth club from the country to compete in the tournament, extending Panama's record for the most different participating clubs in Central American Cup history.
