USA secures victory over El Salvador in U-20 Championship

USA collected its second win of the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship

PUEBLA, Mexico – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship continued with the United States earning a 3-nil win against El Salvador in Group A on Tuesday at Estadio Universitario BUAP in Puebla, Mexico.

Dino Klapija opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 35’ to give the USA the lead.

Ruben Ramos doubled the advantage for The Stars and Stripes through another penalty conversion in the 61’.

USA sealed the result in the 89’ with a strike from Christopher Cupps on a set piece opportunity.

USA will face Cuba in its third Group Stage fixture on Friday. El Salvador takes on Haiti for its final Group A encounter.
