Leagues Cup Matchday 2 delivers six more Phase One contests
Inter Miami CF, Orlando City SC, FC Dallas and Deportivo Toluca FC were among the winners on Matchday 2, while Los Angeles FC claimed the additional point in a penalty shootout.
Miami - Leagues Cup 2026 continued Wednesday with six matches as part of Phase One. The Concacaf-sanctioned competition pits MLS and Liga MX clubs, as they battle for the regional crown and three spots in the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup.
Three MLS clubs and two Liga MX sides earned three points outright on Matchday 1, with one match going into a penalty shootout.
Inter Miami CF 4-2 Atlético de San Luis
Inter Miami CF secured a 4-2 victory over Atlético de San Luis to Nu Stadium in Miami, Florida, USA.
David Rodríguez opened the scoring for the visitors with a header just four minutes into the match.

The occasion marked the first Leagues Cup match played in Mexico, and the hosts enjoyed the advantage over the tournament’s defending champions.

Chivas responded just four minutes later as Roberto Alvarado netted the equalizer from within the box.
Los Angeles FC converted five of its six penalty kicks in the shootout, with Thomas Hasal’s save on Luis Romo’s attempt proving to be decisive.
