Leagues Cup continues with six Phase One matches
Inter Miami CF, Seattle Sounders FC, Deportivo Toluca FC and Club León are among the clubs in action as Phase One continues.
Leagues Cup 2026 continues on Wednesday with six matches as part of Phase One of the tournament. The Concacaf-sanctioned competition between MLS and Liga MX clubs will see teams battle for the regional crown and three spots in the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup.
Inter Miami CF vs. Atlético de San Luis
Inter Miami CF will host Atlético de San Luis at Nu Stadium in Miami, Florida, USA.
The MLS club finished as runners-up in last year’s edition of the tournament, falling to Seattle Sounders FC 3-0 in the Final.
Featuring Lionel Messi, Casemiro, and Rodrigo de Paul, the 2023 Leagues Cup champions will look to make another strong run in the competition. The team will be without Luis Suárez, who is serving a six-match Leagues Cup suspension due to disciplinary action following last year’s final against the Sounders.
CF Monterrey vs. Orlando City SC
Orlando City SC will take on CF Monterrey at Inter.co Stadium in Orlando, Florida, USA.
The match could mark Antoine Griezmann’s debut in the competition, after the French forward signed for the MLS earlier this year. The Orlando roster also features Maxime Crépeau, Canada’s starting goalkeeper at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
After failing to win any matches in regulation of the 2025 Leagues Cup, Monterr will aim for an improved showing. The Liga MX side features various former MLS players, including Hugo Cuypers, Luca Orellano and Diego Rossi, who won the competition in 2024 with the Columbus Crew.
Nashville SC vs. Club León
Nashville SC will host Club León at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
The MLS side finished as runners-up of the 2023 edition of the tournament, falling to Inter Miami CF in a penalty shootout in the Final.
Currently atop Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference standings, Nashville is led by the dynamic attacking trio of Sam Surridge, Hany Mukhtar and Cristian Espinoza.
León will look to advance to the knockout stage for the first time since reaching the Round of 32 in 2023.
FC Dallas vs. Club Querétaro
FC Dallas and Club Querétaro will face off at Mansfield Stadium in Mansfield, Texas, USA.
Both sides are looking to advance to the knockout stage for the first time since the 2023 edition of the competition.
Querétaro made an impressive run to the Quarterfinals in 2023 before being defeated by the Philadelphia Union 2-1. That same year, FC Dallas lost to eventual champion Inter Miami CF in a Round of 16 penalty shootout.
FC Dallas striker Petar Musa, who scored for Croatia at the FIFA World Cup 2026, is currently tied for the MLS Golden Boot lead with 13 goals this season.
Deportivo Toluca FC vs. Seattle Sounders FC
Deportivo Toluca FC will host Seattle Sounders FC at Estadio Nemesio Diez in Toluca, Mexico.
Notably, the match will mark the first-ever Leagues Cup fixture played in Mexico.
This encounter will pit the reigning Leagues Cup champions, Seattle Sounders FC, against the defending Concacaf Champions Cup winners, Deportivo Toluca FC.
The Mexican side features attacking standouts Helinho, Alexis Vega and Paulinho, who scored four goals in last year’s Leagues Cup.
The Sounders will return with much of last year’s championship-winning roster intact, including all three goalscorers from the Final.
Los Angeles FC vs. Chivas de Guadalajara
Los Angeles FC will host Chivas de Guadalajara at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
Led by the attacking duo of Son Heung-Min and Denis Bouanga, the MLS side will look to make another run to the Final, as it did in 2024. The team’s roster also includes former World Cup winner Hugo Lloris in net.
Chivas de Guadalajara will be aiming to advance to the Leagues Cup knockout stage for the first time in the competition.
