Canada and Bosnia & Herzegovina shared the points after a hard-fought 1-1 draw.

TORONTO – The FIFA World Cup 2026 continued with Canada drawing 1-1 against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group B on Friday at Toronto Stadium in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Bosnia and Herzegovina opened the scoring in the 21’ off a corner kick, as Sead Kolašinac flicked a header at the near post and Jovo Lukić was there to slam it home with a header of his own.

The hosts nearly obtained the equalizer in the 53’ when a Richie Laryea shot heading for goal was cleared off the line and the crossbar by Kolašinac.

Canada eventually tied the match in the 78’ when Cyle Larin’s great touch and composure, despite being surrounded by defenders, resulted in a thunderous blast from within the box. Larin subbed into the match just two minutes prior.

With his goal, Larin joined Alphonso Davies as the only players to ever score at a World Cup for Canada.

The Reds are still seeking their first win ever in the tournament but obtained their first point in the competition’s history.

Canada will play its second group stage fixture when it hosts Qatar on June 18, 6pm ET (4pm local time), at BC Place Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada.
