L.A. Firpo, Club Xelajú battle for Quarterfinal berth in Group A

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala – The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continues on Wednesday with Club Xelajú hosting L.A. Firpo in Group A at Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Currently atop the group due to goal differential, L.A. Firpo needs a win or a draw to qualify for the next round of the tournament for the first time in club history.

The Salvadoran club is also seeking its first victory against a Guatemalan team in the tournament, having drawn 1-1 against Comunicaciones in 2024.

Club Xelajú is looking to progress past the Central American Cup Group Stage for the second time, having previously done so in 2023.
