SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras – The Group Stage of the 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continues on Wednesday with CD Marathón hosting Alianza FC at Estadio Francisco Morazán in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

The match marks the second time the clubs meet in the Group Stage of the Central American Cup. Marathón secured a 1-0 victory over Alianza in the 2024 edition of the tournament.

Marathón arrives to the match unbeaten in the 2026 Central American Cup, having recorded a win and a draw. In its most recent fixture, Los Verdolagas defeated Antigua GFC 3-0 on the road in Guatemala, with Nicolás Messiniti, Yairo Moreno, and Damin Ramírez scoring to secure the three points.
