FC Motagua hosts CS Cartaginés in Group D action

Group D leader FC Motagua looks to extend its unbeaten run against a CS Cartaginés side seeking its first win of the tournament.

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Group Stage action in the 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continues on Wednesday with FC Motagua and CS Cartagines facing off at Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

This will mark the fourth time these clubs meet in the Central American Cup; CS Cartagines currently leads the series with a 2W-1D-0L record against FC Motagua.

Los Brumosos are looking for their first win in the 2026 edition of the tournament, drawing in their Group D opener against CSD Municipal; Randall Cordero scored the team’s only goal so far in the competition.
