Deportivo Mixco seals victory over Alianza FC in Group C

Both sides close out their 2026 Central American Cup campaigns.

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala – The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continued on Thursday with Deportivo Mixco securing a 2-0 victory over Alianza FC in Group C at Estadio Manuel Felipe Carrera in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

The hosts took an early lead in the 4’ as Nicolás Martínez capped off a team play with a left-footed finish from inside the penalty area. Jeshua Urizar provided the assist with a grounded delivery from the right flank.

José Bolaños extended the lead for Mixco in the second half with a strike from close range in the 83’.

Deportivo Mixco goalkeeper Kevin Moscoso recorded his first clean sheet of the campaign, making a save in the process.

The result sees both clubs conclude their participations in the 2026 Central American Cup. Deportivo Mixco finished third in Group B with six points and a 2W-0D-2L record, while Alianza placed fourth with three points from a 1W-0D-3L record.
