CS Herediano seeks crucial Group B points against Antigua GFC

CS Herediano looks for a second consecutive victory to strengthen its Quarterfinal hopes, while Antigua GFC enters its final Group B match seeking its first win.

SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica – Group B action in the 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continues on Wednesday with CS Herediano welcoming Antigua GFC at INS Stadium in San Jose, Costa Rica.

With an overall record of 1W-1D-1L through three matches, CS Herediano will look to record consecutive wins for the first time in the 2026 edition of the tournament.

Los Florenses secured their first win of the tournament against Real Estelí FC with a 2-0 scoreline, tallying their first three points of the competition. A goal by captain Elías Aguilar guided the Costa Rica up the Group B table, with the side currently sitting in fourth place.

Antigua GFC will enter its fourth match of the tournament seeking its first win in Group B.

Antigua’s long goal of the tournament came from Óscar Castellanos, who found the back of the net in Matchday 1 of the competition.
