SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador - The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continued on Wednesday with Club Deportivo FAS and CSD Municipal playing out a 1-1 draw in Group D at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador.

The hosts took the lead in the 36’ with Juan Vega curling in a cross from the right flank and Jorge Cruz heading the ball home at the far post.

Municipal found the equalizer before the half through a penalty converted by Cristian Hernández in the 44’.

Municipal created several opportunities in the final stretch of the match, including a header from José Morales on a corner kick opportunity in the 79’ which was met by a heroic clearance off the line by FAS defender Vega. Despite the chances, the match remained level through the final whistle.
