Miami, FL – The fourth edition of the Concacaf Caribbean Cup will take place from August through December 2026. The regional men’s club competition will crown the Confederation’s Caribbean club champion and determine three club representatives that will qualify for the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup.
Thus far, three clubs have secured a place in the competition. Cibao FC of the Dominican Republic qualified as champions of the 2025 Copa LDF.
From Trinidad and Tobago, Club Sando FC and Defence Force FC secured their berths following strong campaigns in the TT Premier Football League as champions and runners-up, respectively.
The remaining seven clubs will be determined in the coming months through domestic leagues and regional competitions across the Caribbean, including representatives from Haiti, Jamaica, Suriname, and the Dominican Republic, as well as the Champion and Runner-up of the 2026 CFU Club Shield.
HISTORY
In September 2021, Concacaf announced that, starting in 2023, three regional cup competitions (Leagues Cup, Central American Cup, and Caribbean Cup) would be played in the fall each year. These competitions determine a number of qualification spots for the Concacaf Champions Cup.
For the Caribbean, the Confederation introduced a 10-club tournament featuring a Group Stage followed by a Knockout Stage to determine the region’s club champion and its representatives in the Confederation’s premier club competition.
Mount Pleasant FA of Jamaica are the current Concacaf Caribbean Cup champions, having secured their first title in 2025 after defeating Universidad O&M FC of the Dominican Republic 3–2 on aggregate in the Final.
FORMAT
The tournament will begin with a Group Stage comprising two groups of five clubs each. In this first round, clubs will play every club in their group once, for a total of four matches per club (two home and two away) across five scheduled weeks.
After the Group Stage, the top two finishers in each group will advance to the Knockout Stage. This stage will feature home-and-away matches, beginning with the Semifinals, and concluding with the Third Place matches and Final, where the Caribbean’s champion will be crowned.
