Déjean powers Violette AC to victory over Delfines del Este FC

Violette extends winning start to the campaign.

SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, Dominican Republic – The 2026 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continued on Wednesday with Violette AC earning a 1-0 victory over Delfines del Este FC in Group A at Estadio Cibao in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

Elyvens Déjean broke the deadlock in the 51’ to hand Violette the lead, with the midfielder bringing down a cross from the right flank before finding the back of the net with a right-footed finish.

Notably, Violette AC goalkeeper Gooly Elien recorded his second clean sheet of the campaign in as many matches.

Delfines del Este FC will play the second Group Stage fixture of its Caribbean Cup debut campaign on Wednesday, September 2, with the Dominican club set to visit SV Broki.

Violette AC will continue its campaign with a visit to SV Broki on Wednesday, September 9.
