USA and Haiti meet in U-20 Championship
The United States and Haiti start their Group A journey.
PUEBLA, Mexico – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship continues with the United States facing Haiti in Group A on Saturday at Estadio Universitario BUAP in Puebla, Mexico.
The two nations will meet for the fifth time in Concacaf U-20 Championship history and the first since the 2017 edition. The United States holds a perfect record in the series, having won each of the previous four encounters.
The United States is set for its 27th appearance in the Concacaf U-20 Championship after qualifying directly as one of the highest-ranked nations in the Concacaf Men's U-20 Ranking. The Stars and Stripes finished as runners-up in 2024 and will pursue a fourth regional title after last lifting the trophy in 2022.
Haiti returns for its 12th Concacaf U-20 Championship appearance after topping Group D in the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Qualifiers with a perfect 4-0-0 record. Forward Nikolai Pierre led the attack with four goals in three appearances, while Franco Celestin contributed two goals and three assists in three matches. Goalkeeper Carlos Bre anchored the defense with two clean sheets in three appearances.
