MIAMI - Leagues Cup 2026 continued Sunday with eight Phase One matches. The Concacaf-sanctioned competition pits MLS and Liga MX clubs, as they battle for the regional crown and three spots in the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup.
Five MLS clubs and three Liga MX sides secured three points outright on Matchday 6.
Seattle Sounders FC 3-0 Querétaro FC
Matchday 6 opened with Seattle Sounders FC earning a 3-0 victory against Querétaro FC at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, USA.
Sebastian Gomez opened the scoring in the 4’, shooting from inside the box to give the Sounders the lead. The strike marked Gomez’s first professional goal.
Danny Musovski added another tally for the hosts in the 41’, before Albert Rusnák rounded out the victory with a second-half strike in the 68’.
Philadelphia Union vs. Club Necaxa
Philadelphia Union will welcome Club Necaxa to Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia Union enters the match in search of its first points of Leagues Cup 2026 after a 1-0 defeat to Cruz Azul.
Necaxa will also look to recover after falling 2-0 against Chicago Fire FC in its first match of the tournament.
Cruz Azul vs. New York City FC
Cruz Azul and New York City FC will face off at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, USA.
The Liga MX powerhouse will aim for another three points after its 1-0 victory over Philadelphia Union. José Paradela bagged the winner for Cruz Azul in the match.
New York City FC will also aim carry on with its winning start after a 2-0 shutout of Santos Laguna through goals from Tayvon Gray and Nico Cavallo.
Chicago Fire FC 3-1 Club Santos Laguna
Chicago Fire FC secured a 3-1 victory over Santos Laguna at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois, USA.
Ezequiel Bullaude placed Santos Laguna in the lead in the 20’ with a spectacular finish from long range.
The home side found the equalizer through a strike by Philip Zinckernagel in the 72’
Chicago completed the comeback with two late goals in stoppage time, as Robin Lod secored in the 90’ and Robert Lewandowski in the 90+3’.
Nashville SC 4-1 Atlético de San Luis

Myrto Uzuni powered the MLS side to victory with a hat-trick, with the attacker finding the back of the net in the 4’, 7’, and the 34’.
San Diego FC 1-0 Club Tijuana
San Diego FC defeated Club Tijuana 1-0 at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California, USA.
Brian Zamblé scored the winner for San Diego FC in the 22’ with a finish from inside the penalty area.
Club América 3-1 Portland Timbers
Matchday 6 closed with a 3-1 victory for Club América against Portland Timbers at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon, USA.
Brian Rodríguez buried a free kick in the top-left corner of the net in the 6’ to place América in the lead.
Portland’s Kristoffer Velde momentarily levelled the proceedings in the 20’.
