Concacaf confirms schedule for 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf League Quarterfinals and postponed Round of 16 matches

 Miami, FL (Friday, November 6, 2020) – Concacaf has announced the schedule for the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf League (SCL) Quarterfinals and two postponed Round of 16 matches. The six matches will be played as single game ties and hosted by the highest ranked club in each matchup.
 
In last night’s Round of 16 action, in Central America and the Caribbean, Arcahaie FC (HAI), CD Olimpia (HON) and Deportivo Saprissa (CRC) joined Forge FC (CAN), CD Marathon (HON) and FC Motagua (HON) in the all-important quarterfinal round of the competition.  
 
The SCL Preliminary Round culminated with LD Alajuelense (CRC) earning a 3-0 win over Cibao FC of the Dominican Republic. LD Alajuelense advances to the Round of 16 where they will face San Francisco FC (PAN).
 
The 2020 SCL will resume after the FIFA match window of November, with the two postponed Round of 16 matches. CS Herediano (CRC) will host Real Esteli FC (NCA) on Tuesday, November 24. Later that night, San Francisco FC (PAN) will visit LD Alajuelense (CRC).  
 
The Quarterfinals of the competition will determine the first four clubs qualified directly to the 2021 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League. On Tuesday,  December 1, Arcahaie FC will host Forge FC, followed by CD Marathon versus Deportivo Saprissa.  
 
On Wednesday, December 2,  the winner of LD Alajuelense and San Francisco FC will face CS Herediano or Real Esteli FC and CD Olimpia will host FC Motagua.  
 
The four losing Quarterfinalists will compete in single leg play-in games, with the two winners qualifying for next year’s premier regional club competition. 
 
The dates for the single leg play-in and semifinals matches, and final match will be communicated by Concacaf in due course. 
 
For all matchups in all rounds of the 2020 SCL, the highest ranked club based on the Concacaf Club Rankings will host the single leg games and pairings are determined by the tournament bracket, which can be found below.
