Mexico sees defeat in last U-20 Women’s World Cup match 

The North Americas concluded their participation in the tournament.

KATOWICE, Poland – Mexico continued its participation at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Group A on Friday seeing a 3-2 defeat against Argentina at Arena Katowice in Katowice, Poland.

Annika Paz started the goal count of the day, giving Argentina the lead with a header in the box in the 29’.

Mexico pushed back and equalized the score in the 36’ after a goal by Deiry Ramirez. Ramirez secured a brace and the second goal for Mexico in the 42’ after a header in the box.

Alma Velasco even things out for La Albiceleste in the 78’ with a right foot shot from the outside of the area.

Argentina found a late goal in the last minutes of the match, in the 90 '+2, thanks to a left foot shot by Dolo Delgado.

This was the final game for Mexico in the 2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup, closing their participation with 0W-1D-2L.
