eConcacaf, connecting the region to the FIFAe Finals

FIFAe Continental Championship by Concacaf to be hosted in Mexico City from Aug 28–30 as part of the Road to the FIFAe Finals 2026.

Miami, FL – Concacaf today announced the launch of eConcacaf, the Confederation’s official football esports platform, designed to create new opportunities for Member Associations, players, and fans across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

The launch marks an important step in the Confederation’s growing esports strategy and includes the first edition of the FIFAe Continental Championship North, Central America, and Caribbean by Concacaf, to be held in Mexico City, Mexico, from August 28–30, 2026.

The continental championship forms part of the Road to the FIFAe Finals 2026, following FIFA’s announcement of five in-person FIFAe Continental Championships across Asia, South America, Africa, North America, Central America and the Caribbean, and Europe. The events will bring together the best-qualified teams from each region, creating a major milestone in FIFAe’s year-round football esports ecosystem.

Through eConcacaf, the Confederation will provide a structured platform for official regional competition across three titles: Rocket League, eFootball™ Mobile, and eFootball™ Console. The platform will also support Member Association participation, fan engagement, brand growth, and future commercial opportunities within one of the fastest-growing areas of global sport.

“eConcacaf represents an exciting new chapter for our Confederation and a meaningful opportunity to further connect with fans and players in a different way,” said Philippe Moggio, General Secretary of Concacaf. “Football esports continues to grow across our region, and this platform will allow our Member Associations and their teams to participate in a structured competitive pathway that connects directly to the global FIFAe ecosystem.”

The FIFAe Continental Championship North, Central America, and Caribbean by Concacaf will serve as the region’s top-level Football eSports competition and an official qualifier for the FIFAe Finals 2026. The event will feature teams that have qualified via the FIFAe Nations League 2026, competing for regional titles and the opportunity to represent Concacaf on a global stage.

The Continental Championship’s first edition will be hosted at Gamergy Mexico, one of the region’s leading gaming and esports events, which attracts more than 80,000 attendees throughout the weekend. Hosting the event within Gamergy will provide a dynamic setting for elite competition, fan engagement, and live esports entertainment.

FIFA’s global announcement noted that more than 120 nations entered the 2026 FIFAe ecosystem, representing significant year-over-year growth and reinforcing the continued rise of nation-based esports competition. Within Concacaf, 15 participating Member Associations have taken part in the 2026 FIFAe ecosystem, reflecting growing interest and engagement across the region.

The launch of eConcacaf builds on the Confederation’s commitment to innovation, access, and the continued development of football in all its forms. By creating a dedicated football eSports platform, Concacaf aims to expand how fans experience the game, strengthen connections with new audiences, and provide Member Associations with additional opportunities to engage their communities.

Additional details, including participating teams, competition format, broadcast information, and fan programming, will be announced in the coming weeks.
