Central American Cup, Caribbean Cup and U-20 Women’s World Cup take center stage

MIAMI – The start of the Quarterfinals of the 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup, as well as the continuation of the Group Stage in the 2026 Concacaf Caribbean Cup and the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup headline This Week in Concacaf.

Here’s what lies ahead this week:

2026 Central American Cup

The Concacaf Central American Cup continues this week with the start of the Quarterfinals, as the eight remaining teams continue in pursuit of the title.

Action starts on Wednesday, with Deportivo Saprissa hosting CS Cartaginés for the first leg of their series. Matchweek will continue with two fixtures on Thursday, followed by one more on Friday.

At the conclusion of the competition, the four semifinalists and the two Play-In winners will qualify for the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup.

2026 Caribbean Cup

The Concacaf Caribbean Cup carries on with Matchday 4 Group Stage action.

The first fixture for the week will see Club Sando FC host Delfines del Este on Tuesday, followed by two matches on Wednesday and one more on Thursday.

At the conclusion of the competition, the finalists and third-place finisher will qualify for the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup, with the champion receiving a bye to the Round of 16.

FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup

The Group Stage of the 12th edition of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup continues this week.

The four Concacaf nations currently representing the region at the global competition, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, and United States will complete their slate of Group Stage fixtures this week in search of booking a spot for the Round of 16.
