Toluca duo highlight Award winners of the 2026 edition

TOLUCA, Mexico – The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup is in the history books following Deportivo Toluca FC‘s win on penalties over Tigres UANL in the Final.

Los Diablos Rojos had a dominant run to collect its third trophy, with two of its players earning individual distinctions.

Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank: Paulinho, Deportivo Toluca FC

Paulinho is the recipient of the Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank, for being key in helping Toluca win a third title in tournament history. The Portuguese forward was instrumental throughout the campaign, totaling nine goal contributions with eight goals and one assist.

Paulinho contributed to his team’s tally by scoring or assisting in five of seven appearances throughout the tournament and had multiple goal contributions on three occasions.

Best Goalkeeper Award: Luis García, Deportivo Toluca FC

Toluca’s Luis García was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament for his outstanding performances. The Mexican goalkeeper registered three clean sheets in six appearances.

Top Scorer Award, presented by Aramco: Paulinho, Deportivo Toluca FC

Paulinho concluded the tournament with eight goals to claim the Top Goal Scorer Award, presented by Aramco. The Portuguese striker delivered three multi-goal performances to help Toluca lift the cup, bagging a hat-trick and a brace in the first and second leg, respectively, against LA Galaxy in the Quarterfinals, and a brace against LAFC in the second leg of the Semifinals.

Young Player Award, presented by Aramco: David Martínez, Los Angeles FC

David Martínez of Los Angeles FC is the winner of the Young Player Award, presented by Aramco. The 20-year-old Venezuelan attacker made eight appearances, scoring four goals in the process. One of the main highlights for Martínez during the 2026 edition was his late series-clinching goal in the second leg against LD Alajuelense in the Round of 16.

Fair Play Award: Nashville SC

Nashville SC earned the Fair Play Award as the team that best conducted themselves throughout the tournament.
