Concacaf Appeals Committee Issues Decision on Tigres UANL Player Nahuel Guzman

Guzman must serve four-match suspension in the next Concacaf Champions Cup.

Miami, FL – The Concacaf Appeals Committee has considered an appeal submitted by Tigres UANL (Mexico) regarding the seven-match suspension of goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman for incidents related to the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup Final.

After due consideration of the appeal and the applicable regulations, the Concacaf Appeals Committee has partially upheld and partially dismissed the appeal.

The Appeals Committee upheld the four-match suspension imposed on the player for using abusive language toward the match officials, while annulling the additional three-match suspension imposed for his participation in the mass confrontation following the match.

Guzman must serve the four-match suspension in the next Concacaf Champions Cup matches in which he is eligible to participate.
