Brunetta Sends Tigres to Final

Tigres UANL will play their fifth final after defeating Nashville SC 2–0 on aggregate

SAN NICOLÁS DE LOS GARZA, Mexico – The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup continued with Tigres UANL earning a 1-nil victory over Nashville SC in the Second Leg of their Semifinals series, with the Mexican club advancing 2-nil on aggregate, on Tuesday at Estadio Universitario in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, Mexico.

After a scoreless first half, Juan Brunetta scored the lone goal of the match in 68’. Ángel Correa provided the assist into the box.

Nashville finished the game with seven shots, but none were on target as the hosts stayed strong defensively to eliminate the MLS club.

Tigres became the first team to not concede a goal over the two legs of a Semifinals series since Club América did so against the Philadelphia Union in the 2021 edition.
