Mount Pleasant, Cavalier Set for Jamaican Derby
Mount Pleasant has Semifinal ambitions while Cavalier looks to leave its mark in the Group B finale.
MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continues on Thursday with defending champion Mount Pleasant FA hosting Cavalier FC in Group B at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.
Mount Pleasant FA enters the match in search of a spot in the Semifinals, currently sitting third place with four points, looking to become the second Jamaican team to progress from the Group Stage in consecutive Caribbean Cup seasons.
In its past Group B fixture, the winners of the 2025 Caribbean Cup edition picked up a valuable 1-nil victory, with Daniel Green netting the goal, securing an overall record of with a 1W-1D-1L so far in the tournament.
Cavalier FC looks to close its campaign on a positive note as the club is out of contention for a spot in the Knockout Stage, with the team in fifth place in Group B with two points and a 0w-2D-1L record.
Cavalier most recently fell to a 2-nil defeat against Portmore United FC on Matchday three.

Cavalier FC have won all three of their away matches against domestic opponents in the Concacaf Caribbean Cup: 5-0 against Harbour View in 2023, 2-0 against Mount Pleasant, and 4-1 against Arnett Gardens, with the latter two victories coming in 2024.
