Prison Services, Weymouth Wales, SV Robinhood advance to CFU Club Shield Quarterfinals
Matchday 3 of the CFU Club Shield delivered the first batch of teams to the Quarterfinals.
MIAMI – The 2026 CFU Club Shield continued with the Round of 16 on Saturday in Trinidad and Tobago.
Slingerz FC, Weymouth Wales FC and SV Robinhood all won their Round of 16 matches to book places in the CFU Club Shield Quarterfinals.
SV Robinhood 2, La Clery Football League 0
SV Robinhood earned a 2-0 win against La Clery Football League at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Robinhood went ahead from the penalty spot in the 11’. The inaugural Concacaf Caribbean Cup champions doubled their lead in the 18’ through Gilberto Cronie.
S.V. Britannia 1 (3), Weymouth Wales FC 1 (4)
Weymouth Wales FC and SV Britannia played to a 1-1 draw, with the former advancing 4-3 on penalties, at Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar, Trinidad and Tobago.
Armando Lashley scored off a header in the 6’ for Weymouth Wales FC.
Edgardo Peralta pulled one back in the 45’+2’, pulling even for S.V. Britannia.
Weymouth Wales prevailed 4-3 in the penalty shootout to advance to the Quarterfinals.
Prison Services FC 3, Slingerz FC 4
Slingerz FC took a 4-3 win against Prison Services FC at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Kemar Beckford opened the scoring for Slingerz in the 17’.
Paul Ronell equalized in the 32’ before Prison Services FC turned it around when Ezekiel Kesar sent a right-footed shot to the top of the net in the 39’.
Slingerz got its second goal in the 58’ thanks to a header by Beckford. Neron Barrow gave the lead back to Slingerz in the 67’. Derrel Garcia added their fourth goal of the day in the 90’+5’.
Kevon Williams converted a penalty in the 90'+7 to score Prison Services FC's third goal, but Slingerz held on for the victory.
