Tigres-Columbus to define the winner of the Quarterfinal series

MIAMI – Tigres UANL and Columbus Crew SC look to break their 1-1 deadlock in the second leg of their 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup quarterfinal series on Tuesday at the Estadio Universitario in San Nicolas de los Garza, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

Andre-Pierre Gignac and Diego Rossi traded goals in the first leg last Tuesday in Columbus. The result marked the Crew's second consecutive home draw in this year’s tournament.

Juan Camilo Hernandez and Alexandru Matan, two of Columbus’ scorers this season, missed the first leg. Aidan Morris, who has two CCC assists, will miss the second leg after being sent off in the 77th minute of the series opener.

Crew SC is looking to end a run of three consecutive matches without a win against Mexican clubs. Columbus has also failed to advance in four attempts when drawing in the first leg.

Tigres UANL achieved their third consecutive draw as visitors in the CCC. For the first time in their history, they drew three consecutive games in the CCC playing away since their first participation in 1979.
