W Champions Cup Path to the Semifinals: Gotham FC
MIAMI – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup Group Stage saw reigning champions Gotham FC return to the Semifinals in an effort to become back-to-back winners.
Gotham FC qualified as the second palace of Group B , obtaining a record of 3-1-0 to extend its unbeaten run in the competition to 10 consecutive matches – the longest in W Champions Cup history.
Months after becoming the tournament’s first ever champions , Gotham FC started its title defense with a 2-1 win against Mexican side Rayadas with goals from Bruninha and Khyah Harper.
Juan Carlos Amoros’ side continued its perfect start with a 2-nil win at Alianza Women FC , in which Geyse and Kayla Duran scored in El Salvador.
The U.S. side added another victory with a 4-1 win against Vancouver Rise FC Academy , thanks to goals from Josefine Hasbo, Katie Stengel, and Esther González, along with a second of the campaign for Bruninha.
In an all-NWSL battle to conclude its campaign, Gotham FC and Washington Spirit played to a scoreless draw in Chester, Pennsylvania, where Shelby Hogan obtained her second cleansheet of the 2025/26 edition.
