W Champions Cup Path to the Semifinals: Club América Femenil

MIAMI – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup Group Stage saw Club América Femenil top Group A with a 3-1-0 record to become one of the four sides to qualify to the Semifinals.

América was one of the highest scoring teams in the WCC , recording 12 goals, but was even more impressive on defense. The Mexican side did not concede a single goal throughout the opening phase.

Opening their campaign with a goalless draw against Costa Rican champions LD Alajuelense , the two-time Liga MX Femenil winners were determined to turn up the offense.

Las Águilas scored nine goals in the victory against Chorrillo FC . Captain Kiana Palacios scored a brace to make history, becoming the first Mexican to score two braces in the competition.

América took another win in a rematch of the Liga MX Femenil Clausura 2025 Final against CF Pachuca . Scarlett Camberos scored the lone goal in the 1-nil win against the Tuzas.

The opening round for the Mexico City club closed with a 2-nil victory against NWSL Champions , Orlando Pride. Palacios and Jana Gutiérrez found the back of the net to seal the club’s qualification to the W Champions Cup Finals for the second year in a row.
