(Photo: Mexsport) GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands – As the start of the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship (CWU20) quickly approaches, CONCACAF.com combed the record books to extract unique tournament facts and figures. 0 – the number of previous appearances that the Cayman Islands and Honduras have made in the CWU20. 1 – the number of goals current U.S. star Alex Morgan has scored in the CWU20. 3 – the number of own-goals that Guatemala benefitted from in qualifying for the 2014 CWU20. 4 – the most goals scored by a single player in a CWU20 match. The record is shared by Veronica Charlyn Corral (Mexico), Shakira Duncan (Jamaica), Kerri Hanks (USA), Kia McNeill (USA), Heather O’Reilly (USA), Lindsay Tarpley (USA) and Kelly Wilson (USA, twice). 5 – the number of CWU20 goals scored by Raquel Rodriguez Cedeño, the most by a Costa Rican. 6 – the number of times that U.S. has qualified for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, the only team from CONCACAF to play in all editions of the competition. 7 – the number of CWU20 goals scored by Shakira Duncan, the most by a Jamaican. 12 – the age of the Cayman Islands’ Chelsea Greene, when she played in the 2010 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 championship in Costa Rica.
