Caribbean U-17 Recap: Six book tickets to T&T

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The field for the final round of qualifying in the Caribbean for the 2017 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship was completed Sunday as six squads earned the right to join host Trinidad & Tobago and Group 4 winner Jamaica in the eight-team tournament, which will be played September 16-25, 2016.
Cuba (Group 1), Haiti (Group 2), Bermuda (Group 3), Curacao (Group 5) and Suriname (Group 6) topped the tables in their respective first-round groups -- while Guadeloupe (Group 5) finished as the best runner-up – to advance.
Standout performers in the matches played from July 20-24, 2016, included five players who scored in each of their team’s three games: Ribaldo Roldan (Cuba, 5 goals), Steeve Selso Saint-Duc (Haiti, 7 goals, 5 v Aruba), Nael Wellofky Elysee (Haiti, 4 goals), Kion Parchmont (Cayman Islands, 3 goals) and Achero Hoever (Suriname, 5 goals).
The 2017 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship will be contested by twelve teams: Panama as host; three from Central America, five from the Caribbean and three from North America.
