Medical replacement approved for 2023 Gold Cup Knockout Stage rosters

Miami, FL – Following the conclusion of the 2023 Gold Cup Group Stage, the men’s senior national teams of Canada, Costa Rica, Panama, and the United States have requested to make medical changes to their 23-man group stage rosters.

In line with the competition’s regulations, a player can be replaced from a team’s 23-player roster in the event of serious injury, but it must be after the Group Stage and up until 24 hours before the kick off of the team’s quarterfinal match. Such proposed replacements must be submitted to the Concacaf Medical Committee for review and approval. Additionally, players proposed as medical replacements must come from the previously announced provisional rosters.

A Concacaf Medical Committee has considered and approved the following replacements:

Canada

Following the conclusion of the Group Stage, which took place between June 24 – July 4, the top two teams from each group advanced to the knockout stage.

The semifinal winners will then move on to Our Final, scheduled for Sunday, July 16, at SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
