CHICAGO – The United States will face France in a pair of women’s international friendlies on June 14 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, and June 19 at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut.
The sides have not met since the opening match of the 2012 Olympic Football Tournament, when the Americans overcame a 2-0 deficit to win 4-2 on its way to capturing the gold medal.
France, which was upset by Denmark on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals of the 2013 UEFA Women’s Championship, is currently 4-0-0 in 2015 Women’s World Cup Qualifying, outscoring its Group 7 opponents by a 31-1 margin.
Before meeting the French, the U.S. – which has followed a three-game winless streak with three straight victories -- will play at Canada on May 8 in Winnipeg.
